A failed pump requires the pump to be replaced. SmartPTO V2 uses a Parker T7AS Vane pump (Viatec PN: 45.0005.01) Contact Viatec Technical Support to order a replacement. Pump replacement instructions are available through the “Pump Swap Guide” – Available upon request.
If the pump is unusually noisy, immediately disable the pump and contact Viatec Technical Support for further assistance. Any time a pump fails, the failed pump will need to be sent back to Viatec for evaluation to determine root cuase. Any details surrounding the pump failure will be helpful in determining root cause. After the pump is replaced and primed, the hydraulic fluid on the truck should be flushed to prevent pump fragments/contamination from damaging other components in the hydraulic system.
