Corrective Actions & Additional Info
If the truck-side check vlave has failed, replace the check vlave, Prime the SmartPTO pump – following the priming procedure, and retest SmartPTO. See detailed Priming Procedure instructions on the “Pump Priming Procedure” tab of this workbook
When the truck-side check valve fails, it will not impact the functionality of the transmission-driven PTO pump. A failed check valve provides a potential leak path back to tank trough the PTO pump, therefore, any pump operating down-stream of the truck-side check valve will suffer from from that leakage. It is possible for the truck-side check valve to fail in a way that doesn’t completley prevent SmartPTO or the emergency DC pump from actuating the hydraulics. In that case, the hydraulic actuation speed should be significantly slower than normal.
